Canon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, today announces the launch of four new mono and colour single function printers (SFPs). The i-SENSYS LBP351x, LBP352x, LBP710Cx and the LBP712Cx are designed to address the print challenges of large enterprises and offer improved productivity and flexible configuration in a robust, compact design.

Designed for demanding workgroups across a variety of industries such as health, legal and retail, the latest devices bring new levels of productivity to the i-SENSYS range. With speeds from 55 and 62ppm respectively, the i-SENSYS LBP351x and the LBP352x optimise the efficiency of businesses with heavy black and white print volumes. To further enhance workplace productivity, the i-SENSYS LBP351x and the LBP352x offer a higher total paper capacity of up to 3,600 pages. Meanwhile,  the i-SENSYS LBP710Cx has a page speed of 33ppm in full colour and a maximum capacity of 2,300 pages, while the i-SENSYS LBP712Cx has an optimum page speed of 38ppm in full colour and can support up to 1,200 pages.

All of the new devices are small enough to fit in areas where space is a premium, allowing businesses to maintain contact with customers, clients and colleagues to work more effectively. Flexible configuration options can meet the niche requirements of a range of environments, with the ability to add four additional cassettes and feed custom media sizes, such as bank statements or prescriptions. In addition, the i-SENSYS LBP710Cx and i-SENSYS LBP712Cx feature new high yield colour toner with increased capacity, meaning that toner cartridges last longer before replacement is required.  This enables businesses to cut costs at the same time as improving efficiency.

Both series feature mobile print and cloud connectivity, delivering enterprise functionality within a small footprint. Support for Apple AirPrint and Mopria enables workers to print documents from compatible mobile devices on the move, while business’s using Google Cloud Print can benefit from compatibility with the cloud printing service. Furthermore, seamless integration with Canon’s print management platform, uniFLOW, offers enterprise functionality to workgroups throughout the business. Canon’s Quick First-Print technology allows documents to be printed in seconds, even from sleep mode, further enabling businesses to realise maximum efficiency. The devices also include support for industry standard PCL5e/6 and Adobe PostScript printer languages to improve compatibility in network integration.

Rayner Botha, Product Manager at Canon SA comments: “These devices bring productive speed to the i-SENSYS range, enabling Canon to diversify its print offering to customer-facing vertical markets, where space is often at a premium. For businesses where time means money, the new devices have been designed with productivity and flexibility in mind. With support for high-speed printing, higher paper capacity and new toner technology, busy environments can benefit from a fast and professional solution that optimises productivity in the workplace.”

The i-SENSYS LBP351x, LBP352x, LBP710Cx and the LBP712Cx will be available across South Africa from July 2016.
