Louis Fourie, Managing Director of Pansmart Southern Africa - a value-added distributor of Panasonic Telecommunications, CCTV, and Video Conferencing devices announces that i-Pro Software is now available on the Pansmart CCTV camera range which provides continuous advanced analytics and monitoring free to users.

Fourie went on to say, “Many of the challenges of analytics and monitoring software has not been in the deployment of the software, but the associated costs of maintaining the software. This changes that for our clients by allowing a one-time licensing fee and Pansmart will continue to provide the necessary upgrades.”

Panasonic-based security systems manage high-level surveillance throughout South Africa. The system implements secure surveillance, detection of abnormalities, and intense surveillance from a centralised headquarters. Panasonic's high-level system monitors for intruders or suspicious objects in facilities throughout the world.

The system has already been installed and used in several high-profile urban environments by municipalities and businesses and the ability to monitor proactively has made a difference. By using one dedicated platform for all hardware and software, integration and downtime has been reduced and due to the built-in redundancy of the all-Panasonic system, there is no chance of lost connection or footage.

Most importantly, according to Fourie, the ability to purchase a one-time software license and then utilise the i-Pro software can allow users to easily upgrade a more traditional system. He feels this is critical for businesses in South Africa to protect against unauthorised access as well as to easily monitor large areas of institutional assets.
Fourie first broached the subject recently on the company blog and as of yesterday, the concept has been met enthusiastically. “We’ve seen a lot of interest in this program and for good reason – it saves our clients’ money and is easy to understand – what isn’t to like about it?”
