Buoyed by great gains and poised for more growth in the professional video market, Canon South Africa will for the first time showcase its full range of pro video camera equipment at MediaTech Africa, the biennial advanced media and entertainment technology show to be held in Johannesburg from 19 to 21 July 2017. Expo visitors will have the chance to see, touch and experience Canon’s innovations – some not yet seen in South Africa before – as well as interact with its top local and international experts in the field.

Canon SA has made significant inroads into the local pro video market, growing its share of the professional video camera market exponentially in the last few years. This is what prompted Canon SA’s decision to exhibit at the prestigious Mediatech show. This idea was totally supported by Canon Europe and they are providing assistance to Canon SA in the form of brand new, cutting-edge demo products and sending two experts from the product management team in London to assist the SA staff on the stand.

Canon Professional Product Manager, Roger Machin : “We are thrilled to be hosting a stand for the first time at Mediatech Africa and to showcase Canon’s latest technologies to the large variety of industry experts attending the show.”

“Over the past five years, Canon has garnered hard earned and well deserved attention from players in this niche field. We look forward to engaging with them one on one at the Canon  stand at this year’s show,” says Machin.

Previous shows were attended by important players in these industries : AV system integration and communications; live entertainment technology; television and broadcast; animation and film; studio and production, DJ and pro-audio equipment.

True to form, Canon SA’s 72 square metre stand at Mediatech Africa will be a bright and interesting display, with diverse products for visitors to experience.

Machin urges Canon fans to register on www.mediatech.co.za before 14 July 2017 to attend the expo for free. Mediatech Africa will be staged at the Ticketpro Dome on the corner of Northumberland Road and Olievenhout Ave, North Riding, Johannesburg.
