BUSINESS NEWS SPONSORED BY DELL E-SERIES 24" MONITORS FROM DCC:

Adoozy has launched South Africa's first contactless power bank rental network, bringing a much-needed solution to the African market where the need for consumers to transact and connect on-the-go is becoming a necessity.

For consumers, the main drawcard will be the ease and convenience of the Adoozy offering. An individual would need to download the Adoozy app and register with sign up information, a fingerprint scan and their card details to become a customer. Consumers can then locate their nearest Adoozy Power Tower, wave their hand at the Adoozy Power Tower and the Adoozy solution will link their fingerprints to their bank card.

For the moment, this means consumers can rent the power bank free of charge every time it is returned - within 48hrs – to any Adoozy Power Tower located within the country. In addition, Adoozy is also rewarding first time users with their share of R500 000 worth of data when they return their power bank for the first time.

Thus far, Adoozy has a footprint in major cities such as Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, expanding even further. This expansion plan has resulted in strategic partnerships with major players such as Game Stores, which now feature the Adoozy Power Towers in selected stores.

"At Game we are always looking for ways to provide a convenient and safe shopping environment. Adoozy Power Towers gives our customers a convenient and safe charging station. Our partnership with Adoozy was made specifically with our shoppers in mind and how we can enhance their experience in our stores," said Duval van Rhyn, Vice President of Operations, Game Stores.

In considering the most effective and convenient way to bring its solution to market, Adoozy has partnered with IDEMIA, and each Adoozy Power Tower features IDEMIA's MorphoWave™ Compact. This technology scans up to four fingerprints in a contactless manner with the wave of a hand. A first mover, Adoozy is the first solution where biometrics are used to access products however the trend of leveraging contactless biometrics for security and greater access and consumer convenience is set to grow.

"It is widely acknowledged that biometrics is the most secure and accurate way of authenticating and verifying an individual. As a leader in biometrics, IDEMIA stands ready to support and safeguard the return to the new normal with our innovative technology," says Nicolas Garcia, VP Sales (Middle East & Africa), Biometric Devices IDEMIA.

Taking both the safety and convenience of the Adoozy offering, consumers can expect low battery issues to become a thing of the past.

"Our secure power bank rental network is incredibly easy to use. Working closely with our partners, Adoozy is proud to deliver a safe and secure solution with increased convenience that fits the modern consumer's lifestyle. Ensuring that they never have to slow down and that they always have power-on-the-go." said Kegan Peffer, CEO at Adoozy.
