Dell EMC has announced the expansion of Dell EMC OEM Solutions in Africa, with dedicated local original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions specialists available to help OEM and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customers take their intellectual property to market faster and accelerate time to profit.

With almost 20 years’ experience in developing customisable technologies, supporting global supply chain, and deploying support and services in over 180 countries, Dell EMC OEM Solutions serves thousands of customers worldwide. Team expertise in the EMEA region alone spans more than 40 industry verticals, including industrial automation, healthcare, defence and security, and connected agriculture.

Dell EMC OEM Solutions offers one of the broadest and customisable technology portfolios. This spans speciality products like Embedded systems and IoT gateways to the broader Dell EMC portfolio, ranging from tablet PCs to largest consolidated infrastructure offerings designed to deliver mission critical workloads for critical applications. In addition to standard Dell EMC products, OEMs can work with Dell EMC specialists to develop, implement and test their own offerings for customers, from unbranded, customised hardware to high-quality software solutions.

Following this expansion of Dell EMC OEM Solutions and dedicated local specialists, customers in South Africa will also benefit from the availability of specialist OEM solutions such as the Dell Edge Gateway 5000 and Dell Edge Gateway 5100, and the Dell Embedded Box PC 3000 and 5000. These products will be available locally in the coming months.

On-going relationships with channel partners, ISVs and system integrators via the Dell OEM Partner Program and the Dell IoT Solutions Partner Program, enable Dell customers to benefit from this technical collaboration and drive tremendous agility and innovation in their industries.   

Dell EMC also has deep expertise in the IoT and the advancement of data-driven innovation and digital transformation, following years of experience developing IT solutions and delivering operational technology expertise to customers around the world. By bringing in IT technologies, such as analytics and sensor technologies and combining these with operations technologies, Dell has gained new insights and taken actions to benefit customers businesses.

The team launched its dedicated global IoT division and opened its first EMEA IoT lab in Limerick, Ireland, over a year ago. To date, thousands of customers and partners from all over the EMEA region have visited Dell EMC Customer Solutions Centres and the Limerick IoT lab to view demos, discuss opportunities, develop proof of concept designs and test their solutions.
