The National Small Business Chamber (NSBC) and the national sponsors of Small Business Friday (SBF) have announced that the 2018 Small Business Friday national celebration and media event will take place at Breakfast Connect, an insightful business breakfast aimed to encourage, inspire and motivate business owners and entrepreneurs. Taking place on Friday 7 September at The Barnyard, Silverstar Casino, Breakfast Connect will also celebrate the seventh anniversary of SBF, a movement aimed at mobilising the nation to support small businesses.

Mike Anderson, NSBC Founder and CEO, says that Breakfast Connect will provide the perfect platform to create more awareness of the growing SBF movement: “We are proud to celebrate seven years of SBF and are passionate about supporting local small businesses every day, and especially on Small Business Friday - the first Friday of Spring every year."

Featuring radio celebrity and entertainer, Bunny Majaja, Mike Anderson, NSBC Founder & CEO and professional adventurer, author, business keynote and inspirational speaker, Peter Van Kets, Breakfast Connect promises to deliver insight in bucket loads as well as ample opportunity to network: “South Africa has an abundance of small business innovators and disruptors. Connecting these people and assisting them to flourish is a key initiative of the breakfast and Small Business Friday. The impact of these entrepreneurs cannot be under-estimated, and we need to band together to develop and grow our national community of small business,” says Anderson.

The NSBC and the national sponsors of SBF are inviting South Africans to join this incredible nation building movement by sharing small business pledges of support on Friday, 07 September 2018. By visiting the Small Business Friday website, participants can pledge and stand in line to win in the #SmallBizFriday competition.
