Aptronics was recognised at the HP Partner Awards gala evening held in Montecasino on 12 November. The company was a prominent recipient of multiple awards, entrenching its position as one of South Africa’s leading black empowered IT solutions and services organisation.
The HP Partner Awards gala is a yearly event held by HP South Africa to recognise its channel partners over a variety of categories. The awards take into account factors such as growth, revenue and certifications to choose the most outstanding performers throughout the year.
Aptronics won five awards over the course of the night, including the HP Servers Partner of the year, HP Cloud Partner of the year, HP Enterprise Group Platinum Partner of the Year and the overall HP Enterprise Group Partner of the year award. In the individual categories, Adele Schoonwinkel was recognised as an Outstanding HP Service Channel Champion for the third year in a row.
Richard Blewitt, Sales Director, explains the significance of winning the awards:
“Winning the HP Enterprise Group Platinum Partner and HP Enterprise Group Partner of the Year awards was a goal we set ourselves last year. It’s a lot like winning a Cup final. In HP's partner world it doesn't get any bigger. Receiving the HP Cloud Partner of the year award recognises how we as Aptronics are transforming our business to a value-based selling approach.”
As a long-time partner to HP, Aptronics has won many awards over the years. Group CEO Anil Pema believes that these point to the strength of the relationship between the two companies:
“We have been a proud partner of HP from when they first appeared on the South African IT scene. Now, as we celebrate the formation of two HP companies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc., we are standing at their shoulders. These awards are a reflection of the strength of our partnership, the technologies that HP has bought to bear through their innovation and investment in R&D and, most importantly, my family at Aptronics. I am really excited about this partnership and where it's going in 2016.”
COO Nick Dahya says that besides underscoring the company’s ability to provide solutions in the enterprise space, the awards also send a strong message about the value customers can expect from the organisation:
“Aptronics came from humble beginnings and we continue to keep focus on the values that have helped achieve this recognition. To our customers: my thanks for the support and trust you place in us. To HP: it's been a privilege working alongside you. To the team at Aptronics: a heartfelt thank you for all of the hard work that went into achieving these awards."
Blewitt concludes that the awards show that Aptronics’ strategy of constant adaptation to meet evolving customer needs is paying off:
“We’re changing the way we go to market. Our next focus is on automation. Winning these awards is impetus for us to keep changing the way we do things for the better and adding more value for our customers.”
