WestconGroup Southern Africa is pleased to announce the appointment of Raquel da Silva Caldeira as its Oracle business development manager (BDM) in its Comstor division. She joins the company from her previous position as an Oracle Account Manager for Westcon Africa.

Between February 2012 and March this year da Silva Caldeira managed the Oracle account for SADC, Angola and East Africa with added responsibilities for the NetApp brand in part of that time frame. Subsequently she has built substantial knowledge around Oracle that will give her a strong foundation in her new position.

“I am delighted to welcome Raquel to the Comstor team and to see her make use of the knowledge she acquired on the Oracle product suites, services and offerings, while at Westcon Africa, to further strengthen the brand in our region,” says Louise Taute, Comstor director at WestconGroup Southern Africa.

Da Silva Caldeira has over ten years’ gained experience working in the areas of IT hardware and software distribution as well as office automation. Specifically, her new role will include the management of Oracle partners, creating and maintaining business relationships with vendors, onboarding of partners for assigned vendors, attending to vendor processes and report management. Prior to her position she also worked in the motoring, hospitality and property industries.

“I believe that Raquel’s previous experience from various different levels of business will give her insight into processes outside of her job description and enable her to be a versatile employee. I wish to congratulate her and welcome her to the Comstor team,” ends Taute.
