ALE, operating under the brand Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, today announced the creation of a global Travel, Hospitality and Leisure Solution Business Unit to deliver outcome based technology solutions that create a personalised connected experience for today’s travelers.

With an existing footprint of hospitality success, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions have been providing cutting-edge innovation with measurable outcomes to customers around the globe in more than two million rooms and on more than 100 large cruise ships equipped to offer a personalised connected experience for guests, including Accor Hotels, the Beverly Hotel and Hotel Bel Air, Melia Hotels Spain, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Norweign Cruise Line, among others.

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Hospitality portfolio delivers on three key areas to benefit the business: Solutions creating a memorable guest experience, reducing infrastructure costs and improving hotel operations. The portfolio includes adapted communications and networking solutions for hospitality delivered via the cloud or on-premise. The following are the latest applications available to delvier a personalised connected guest experience:

  • The Mobile Guest Softphone - A mobility solution specifically designed for the hospitality industry, enabling guests to use their own mobile devices to access hotel services.
  • The Smart Guest Application Suite enabling guests to control the in-room environment using the room phone to adjust lighting and temperature, access hotel services, set a wake-up call, set do not disturb room status, and more.

As part of its long term goals, ALE aims to become one of the top three global players in the hospitality IT sector over the next three years by delivering relevant technology, unique solutions and measurable outcomes to customers. Reaffirming this commitment to the market, a new Hospitality Experience Center was built in Miami, Florida offering a dedicated integration lab, traning facilities, and demonstrations for customer briefings.
