OPPO South Africa has launched the Reno8 Series in Johannesburg, under the theme #UnlockTheNight. This range, particularly the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G, sets the new standard for night time video and photography.
The Reno8 Pro is expected this coming October, followed by the Reno8 in November 2022.
Boasting first in its class 4K Ultra Night Video with HDR, offering up to 20% faster image processing which treats users to incredible detail and colour accuracy in low light scenes.
The latest in OPPO’s premium range, the Reno8 Pro 5G gives modern users everything they have come to expect from a phone and more, with particular emphasis on charging, battery life, image processing power and exquisite design.
The long lasting 4500mAH battery is life changing for consumers looking to live their way through the unpredictable local energy supply. The device is shipped with an 80W SUPERVOOC charger that is TUV (international battery safety accreditation) approved and enables 50% charge in just 11 minutes. The OPPO self-developed Battery Health Engine allows for in excess of 1600 charging cycles which is around four years of optimal battery health, double the industry average, and will allow even the most energy sapping users to get through the day.
The OPPO Reno8 Pro features the most energy efficient processor of 2022, the flagship MediaTek 5nm Dimensity 8100-MAX SOC, ensures super smooth processing even during multiplayer gaming. Power consumption has been reduced, with a lower temperature increase during high frame rate usage and longer battery life compared to its predecessors. 8Gb of ram is expandable by a further 5Gb, for a total of 13GB for those users who place high demands on processing power.
With gaming in mind, the 120Hz refresh rate and the 1000Hz Ultra touch response, allows users to perform actions faster than other players while a X-Axis Linear Motor offers true-to-life haptic vibration which immerses you in the action.
OPPO has made a real leap in smartphone imaging, revolutionising and innovating by design with its first-ever dedicated imaging neural processing unit (NPU) – the MariSilicon X. This cutting edge imaging NPU, will give users the best in photography capability, both in terms of lens technology, utilisation of the Sony IMX766 lenses and software. The MariSilicon X chipset is dedicated solely for the management of camera functions and processes.
The main camera offers 50MP, DOL-HDR, a 1/1.56 inch sensor size and 4X dynamic range. Cutting edge functionality includes a flagship portrait camera system, a macro mode that allows for the capturing of images from as near as 4cm. The 32MP Selfie camera with 2X zoom on the OPPO Reno8 Pro is yet another first for South Africa.
Cutting edge photography is supported by ample storage, totalling 256Gb, but supports expandable memory of up to 1TB.
A streamlined unibody design features the narrowest bezel on the market for an immersive viewing experience, while utilising as much of the available space as possible. The fastest optical fingerprint unlock takes just 0,2 seconds.
The OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G will be available in two colours namely Glazed Green and Glazed Black, retailing from R16 999 for the OPPO Reno8 5G and R19 999 for the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G.
