Acer Africa has announced the appointment of Paul Collins as the new Acer Africa country manager. Paul previously held the position of Commercial Channel Manager within the business and in his new role as country manager, Collins will focus on the Acer growth areas within the Education and Government sectors along with Acer’s continued attention on the SADC region.

Collins, who has built his career within the information technology industry, believes that Acer has a niche in the all-in-one market where the brand can really deliver, and being able to identify where the focus needs to be and investing in that growth is key to continued growth within the sector. “Continuing to build on the successful business model by driving the Acer 1” to 100” display size strategy is a key focus for us,” says Collins.

“2015 has been an incredibly promising year for our brand and with the most varied product portfolio of any other vendor that we bring together with our “Build your own Cloud” initiative, we are truly immersing the user in the Acer experience. The products we have added to our 1” to 100” portfolio, which we plan on showcasing within the coming months, will complement our strong PC, Notebook and Convertible ranges beautifully,” continued Collins.

Under his leadership, Collins will strive to continue in the same management style he has always adopted by encouraging entrepreneurship and decision making. The implementation of the Acer business strategy will be delivered through targeted business objectives and an aggressive business development approach whilst keeping customer satisfaction as the business vision.
