Stress testing is a balanced combination of historical as well as forward looking knowledge, such as statistical data, empirical observations and expert judgment. It exploits quantitative methods, but it is also subjective by depending on the input of the risk management of the bank.
Master Data Management’s Managing Director, Gary Allemann, has been invited to speak at the Stress Testing & Risk Management in banking conference to be held in Johannesburg on the 2nd and 3rd of September this year.
Gary will present a paper titled “Regulatory Reporting: The Data Imperative” – this presentation will explore the increasing burden of data on regulatory requirements and approaches to deal with this.
This two day event will focus on integrating current stress testing models in order to strategically plan, forecast as well as enhance operations within the banking sector.
This event will also provide a unique platform for all risk management, stress testing, disaster recovery, fraud, analytics, information security practitioners as well as professionals from the banking sector. Furthermore it will include similar sectors to come together and share latest techniques and insights for building and implementing stress testing models to develop a holistic approach to risk management practice.
