As cloud infrastructure adoption continues to accelerate, Trend Micro Incorporated announced the availability of its cloud and data centre platform, Trend Micro Deep Security, on the Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Microsoft Azure.

"We provide solutions that make security implementation and management efficient and seamless for DevOps and SecOps teams working in the cloud," said Bill McGee, senior vice president, cloud and data centre security, Trend Micro. "Providing Deep Security via the Azure Marketplace allows organisations using Azure to acquire cloud workload security as easily as they acquire the cloud infrastructure resources which require protection. It extends the inherent security provided by Azure, with protection that allows organisations to better meet their shared security-enhanced responsibilities, including compliance requirements such as PCI and HIPPA.”

Deep Security provides automated cloud security for Azure workloads. It defends against network attacks (intrusion detection and prevention – IDS/IPS), keeps malware off cloud workloads (anti-malware), and helps uncover suspicious changes to workload configurations (file integrity monitoring). Deep Security automates the provisioning of workload-aware security for rapid protection of virtual machines from software vulnerabilities such as Shellshock and Heartbleed.

“We are pleased that Trend Micro Deep Security is now available on the Azure Marketplace,” said Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of Product Marketing, Microsoft Azure. “By making Trend Micro Deep Security available on our cloud platform, Trend Micro is providing automated cloud security for Azure workloads to customers around the world.
