Images and specifications for the next version of Research in Motion’s Blackberry Bold 9780 have emerged online. 
 
According to BlackBerry Cool, the smartphone runs on BlackBerry OS 6, boasts 512 MB RAM, a 480 × 360 resolution display (which is not a touch-screen) and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi.
It looks very similar to the current Bold (9700) with a similar QWERTY keyboard as well.
 
In related news, the much rumoured BlackBerry Torch/ 9800 Slider will reportedly be available in the US by mid August. According to BlackBerryBlast!, John Albright of the BlackBerry Partners Fund stated at the paidContent Mobile Conference in New York that RIM is looking to release its new Slider on 15 August on AT&T. 
 
The 9800 Slider will reportedly be the first BlackBerry smartphone to be released with BlackBerry OS 6 and features a 3.2" 360 x 480 resolution touch-screen, with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, HSDPA and GPS.
