Firefox Release Candidate 2 announced
By Hanleigh Daniels 18 January 2010 | Categories: newsMozilla announced yesterday that Firefox 3.6 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) is now available for download. It was also announced that the latest release candidate was issued to all Firefox 3.6 Beta and Release Candidate users as an automatic update.
RC2 ultimately looks very similar to, and functions in the same way as the first release candidate of Firefox 3.6. It allows users from around the globe to test out the release candidate and report any problems they encounter. It has been built on Mozilla’s Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering platform and was also optimised to run on operating systems for smartphones and smaller devices, the likes of Nokia’s Maemo platform.
It is available for download in more than 70 languages for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux users.
