By Tom Manners 5 August 2010 | Categories: newsFirst National Bank has officially announced that all Personal Cheque Account clients will receive up to 1 GB of FREE data every month as of 1 August 2010 for the duration of a year. This initiative is part of a ‘Cheque Rewards’ Programme, launched by the bank.
“We are committed to giving our clients the best possible access to the information age. As such, we will provide them with FREE unshaped data if they open or have an existing FNB Personal Cheque Account,” says Farren Roper, operations manager at FNB Connect.
The promotion runs until 31 July 2011 when the offer will be reviewed. To qualify, existing and new clients must have an active FNB Personal Cheque Account which is in good standing.
“In addition to the FREE monthly data, new FNB Connect Surf clients currently receive a once off 1GB of unshaped data valid for 12 months after registration.
“We allow our clients to interact with FNB for FREE with access to www.fnb.co.za and www.fnbconnect.co.za at no cost.” adds Roper.
This is the first time the South African fixed line environment has seen a bank offering both financial and broadband services.
