Landon Donovan scores FIFA 11 cover

Los Angeles Galaxy star Landon Donovan was a star performer for his country’s soccer team during the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and has now been rewarded with the honour of gracing the cover of the hotly anticipated FIFA 11.

According to IGN, EA has revealed that Donovan will join Brazil and Real Madrid midfielder Kaka as well as Arsenal and Mexico’s Carlos Vela on the cover of FIFA 11.

The game will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PSP and mobiles on 28 September in the US. Europe and Asia will have to wait until 1 October.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 pulls into the pits

After announcing last month that Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be hitting the virtual race track on 24 September, Atari has stated that it will be delaying the game until Q1 of 2011.

According to Gamespot, the delay is due to the publisher wanting to give the game’s developer, Eden Games, more time to polish the racing title’s connected console multiplayer experience.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be coming out on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, as well as the PC.

Some of his star cast mates for the title include Kris Kristofferson from Blade, Hellboy’s Ron Perlman and former Friends star Matthew Perry.

Fallout: New Vegas will be coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in October.

According to the Japanese company the game will feature more new features than ever before, such as real-time contract negotiation, a revamped training system and a number of match engine improvements.

“At Sports Interactive, we always strive to give the end-user the best experience possible,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive.

The force will not be with the PSP

The PlayStation Portable (PSP) version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II has been given the axe. According to geek.com, LucasArts has confirmed that the title will no longer see a PSP release, but the company didn’t explain the reasoning behind the move.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed II is set for release on 26 October 2010 in the US and 29 October 2010 in Europe on the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and DS, as well as the PC.
