After the Aino, Yari and Satio, Sony Ericsson has added another peculiarly named device to their line-up. The Vizaz, due for release in Q1 2010, is the company’s first phone to offer 720p HD video capturing.

The device features an 8.1 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and nifty functions like continuous auto focus and face detection. Easy upload tools to YouTube and Picasa are also present– although you will be restricted to using a WiFi connection for uploading HD video.

As part of Sony Ericsson’s new range of entertainment phones (the Xperia X10 being the flagship) the Vizaz looks to be a well speced, high-end device. It sports a 3.2" resistive touch-screen, a 720 MHz PowerVR SGX graphics CPU, quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA. Interestingly enough, the phone runs on a modified Symbian Series 60, 5th edition OS, rather than Android like the X10.

There is no indication on local pricing or availability as yet.
