Lexmark unveils its Pinnacle AIO printer
By Hanleigh Daniels 4 October 2010 | Categories: newsLexmark has introduced a new addition to its professional all-in-one (AIO) inkjet printer range. Dubbed the Pinnacle Pro901, it boasts 4-in-1 (print, scan, copy and fax) capability and a web-connected, easy-to-navigate 4.3" capacitive touch-screen.
According to the company the Pinnacle is designed to boost the productivity of small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), whilst also enabling savings in time and valuable resources. It can print up to 33 ppm (black and white) at a resolution of up to 4800 x 1200 dpi (colour) and also boasts integrated duplex (double-sided) printing.
Lexmark’s Pro901 is both lighter (9.27 kg) and more compact (250 x 465 x 392 mm) than the Platinum Pro905 (11.64 kg, 307 x 465 x 392 mm) that we tested back in January.
“The introduction of Pinnacle builds upon the momentum and success Lexmark has garnered with its award-winning touch screen AIOs, providing yet another model that enables our customers to go way beyond printing,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Imaging Solutions Division.
“Customers have told us that the cost of supplies is their primary pain point when it comes to printing. Combining our R59.99 cartridge pricing with the ease of use and functionality of Pinnacle’s touch-screen menu and SmartSolutions helps our customers be more efficient, saving both time and money.”
Lexmark’s Pinnacle will be available as of October 2010 at a recommended retail price of R2 999.
