Logitech claim to have made a mouse, two actually, that can be used on almost any surface, including glass.

The new Logitech Performance Mouse MX and Anywhere Mouse MX feature what Logitech terms Darkfield Laser Tracking. Unlike conventional tracking technologies which track texture changes on a surface, the new Logitech tracking technology picks up microscopic particles and micro-scratches on high-gloss surfaces. This does however mean that glass must be at least 4 mm thick for the laser to effectively track movement.

The Performance MX and the Anywhere Mouse MX will be available from this month with expected retail prices of R1199 and R999 respectively.
