NIL launches the Infinity Points incentive
By Hanleigh Daniels 1 March 2012 | Categories: newsNIL Data Communications Africa launched its Infinity Points initiative last night at a function held at The Campus in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
The Infinity Points programme is aimed at ICT managers who spends a large amount of their budget on learning services including IT training for staff, professional services such as consulting and systems integration, as well as managed services the likes of cloud-based services and network monitoring.
App Store for ICT managers
NIL refers to its Infinity Points programme as an “App Store” for ICT managers, since much like an app store enables mobile users to get all their applications from one place, this initiative allows managers to use one firm to fulfil all their companies’ ICT needs.
According to NIL, it is the only company within Africa that is able to offer such a “one stop shopping” approach to the ICT industry, whether it is for an SME, enterprise, or a big service provider.
How it works
IT managers buy pre-paid credits from NIL’s online portal, which they can then utilise towards paying for their ICT services and training courses, as and when they need them. Pricing is currently only available in Euros, but the company said that it will be converted to South African Rand “soon”.
Just like a business road warrior is able to accumulate frequent flyer miles from an airliner and put these towards free flights, a user will also be able to earn points via the Infinity Points system, giving them access to certain benefits.
