Phone calls and music meet in new NOCS headphones
By Ryan Noik 21 July 2011 | Categories: newsWith the popularity of the iPhone, and the multiple purposes that modern smartphones serve, having one set of headphones for multiple functions makes plenty sense. To this end, two new NOCS headphones have been made available in South Africa.
NOCS NS200
The NOCS NS200 earphones are small, light, in-ear phones and made for particular use on the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
The earphones, which are made from aluminium, are also intended for use with one’s smartphone, and feature a microphone, and remote, with rounded control buttons, to enable users to seamlessly switch between accessing their phone calls and controlling their music as need be.
The remote, which requires a 3.5 mm stereo jack, allows users full access to the main menu of their device.
The NS200’s remote and the microphone is compatible with the iPod nano (4th generation and above) as well as the 120 GB and 160 gigabyte iPod classics. Additionally, it supports use on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2 and the second generation and above iPod touch.
The NS200 is further compatible with HTC handsets, and is available in black as well as white. The earphones package includes a remote, mic, extra sleeves, protective pouch and a one year warranty.

NOCS NS300
The NS300 headphones, which are aimed at catering for everyday listening, are considerably larger than the NS200. They are over-the-ear style headphones aimed at delivering a warm and rich sound throughout the entire sonic spectrum, backed by heavy bass. The headphones further feature high quality imitation leather pads and a Kevlar reinforced cable.
Like the NS200 earphones, the NS300 is similarly optimised for use with the iPod nano, classic, touch, iPhone and iPad, as well as being compatible with HTC headsets.
The NS300 headphones are available in black and include a remote, mic, protective pouch and a two year warranty.
