Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion announced
By Hanleigh Daniels 8 April 2010 | Categories: newsElectronic Arts (EA) have announced a forthcoming expansion pack for Sims 3, the Ambitions Expansion Pack, set for launch in June.
This second expansion pack will according to EA, allow players to follow a range of paths and careers in their Sims’ lives, which in turn will affect their overall gameplay experience. For the first time, you’ll have direct control over your Sims’ work and you'll be able to choose how to spend their days. You can choose different paths within a career, for instance, you can decide on making house calls and save lives as a doctor or select a different route, by using your patients as lab rats and testing experimental medicine on them. There’ll also be an assortment of non-mainstream careers to opt for, including a ghost hunter and an inventor.
“The variety of careers to choose from is unmatched and we’ve never given players the opportunity to follow their Sims to work and affect their actions on the job,” explained Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio at EA. “The Sims 3 Ambitions changes that. Players’ actions at work now directly affect their lives, community and neighbors and become an extremely important part of how the game is played.”
