Sony has announced that it has expanded its Walkman range of music and video players with the addition of the Walkman NWZ-E450 video MP3 player.
 
The NWZ-E450 will be available in a selection of colours such as gold, pink, blue, red and black and will according to Sony deliver a continuous music playback time of up to 50 hours.
 
It sports a 2" QVGA LCD display and is compatible with a host of music, photo as well as video file formats including MP3, WMA, AAC-LC, Linear PCM, JPEG, AVC (H.264), MPEG4 and WMV9. Sony’s new Walkman also boasts enhanced compatibility with Windows 7, allowing users to browse media files stored on the Walkman in Windows Explorer and export their music, photos and videos from their PC directly onto the player.
 
“Sony strives to deliver innovative products that combine fun, form and function to enrich the music listening experience of our customers,” says Sydney Lee, assistant general manager, Personal Audio Division, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific.
 
“Besides new SensMe channels, the new Walkman E450 has a new user interface with features such as Album Scroll and Scene Search, that lets users easily navigate their music and videos.”
 
The NWZ-E450 is available in 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB models and is now available in South Africa at a recommended retail price of R899.
