TomTom has launched its TomTom GO LIVE Top Gear edition, which amongst other features, boasts Top Gear selected points of interest such as its race track and raceway locations related to the popular TV series.

The forthcoming TomTom GO LIVE sports Top Gear start-up and shut-down screens as well as car icons. Drivers can opt between the The Stig mode, which renders the device instantly silent, or select Jeremy Clarkson’s voice to guide them.

Available as of the end of this month for a recommended retail price of R2399, the TomTom GO LIVE Top Gear edition includes one year of TomTom's LIVE Services for free. This includes the company’s flagship service, TomTom HD Traffic, which delivers dynamic routing and accurate traffic information every two minutes. HD Traffic also provides drivers with detailed incident reports, length of delays and reason for these, accurate travel and arrival times as well as alternative route proposals.

The LIVE Services bundle also includes the Speed Cameras service, providing mobile and fixed speed camera alerts, while TomTom Places local search will assist users to pinpoint shops and businesses in the area. Also onboard is QuickGPSfix, that gets the user navigating in seconds, and TomTom Weather, which delivers local and five-day forecasts.
