Vodacom is looking to bring some festive cheer to its contract clientele, as the company has announced three different promotions that will provide them with significant data cost savings.

New customers signing any 24 month data contract will receive the first three months’ subscription for free, with this promotion being in effect until 6 February 2012. In addition, Broadband Standard MyMeg500 24 month contracts signed during December 2011 will be available for only R99 (incl. VAT) per month. This contract promotion for new contracts signing up this month is immediately available and will run until 9 January 2012.

With an automatic additional 500 MB of Night Owl data (from midnight to 5 am) included, Vodacom subscribers get an effective 1 GB of data at R99. The company stated that as the normal price of the Broadband Standard MyMeg 500 is R149 a month, this promotion gives customers a 33% discount. However, customers signing up for the Broadband Standard MyMeg 500 promotion will not qualify for the three months free subscription promotion.

40 GB @ R499

Vodacom will give 20 GB (anytime) + 20 GB (Night Owl) data for R499 to contract subscribers at an effective rate of 1.2c per MB.
