After last week’s Talking Photos challenge, BlackBerry’s Touch Awesomeness competition enters week nine and calls upon entrants to pay close attention during a series of special lectures on the topic of Awesomeness, presented by a man who knows the news before it happens. A news anchorman who could easily have schooled Ron Burgundy on the ways of Awesomeness…South Africa’s own SABC stalwart news anchor, Riaan Cruywagen (aka Cruy-Cruy).

This week’s challenge - Awesomeness for Dummies

This week’s challenge employs the talents of Mr Cruywagen, who will impart his knowledge upon local competition entrants via a webcast that will be posted every day for the next week. These essential tips will teach the ordinary Joe Soap, how to become more awesome than Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother.

Besides forming the blueprint for your new Awesome lifestyle, these tips are also useful in obtaining maximum points within this week’s Awesomeness for Dummies challenge. This is because you get a test afterwards and are awarded points based upon the accuracy of your answers, as well as the time in which you complete this test.

Our experience

We listened carefully to every word, knowing that this dedication would pay off big time come the test. This proved to be the case, since we managed to obtain a perfect total of five out of five for Day 1’s quiz, completing it in a time of only ten seconds, which earned us 50 points. Now all that is left is to wait with bated breath for tomorrow’s webcast, notebook and pencil at the ready.

About the BlackBerry Touch Awesomeness competition

BlackBerry’s browser-based Touch Awesomeness competition has entrants completing ten tasks of “Awesomeness” on a weekly basis, giving them a chance to net one of ten all-touch BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphones. One of these sleek new offerings will be up for grabs each and every week.

Besides the chance to net an amazing new BlackBerry Curve smartphone, entrants will also earn a set amount of points for completing each week’s task. The person with the most points at the end of the ten weeks, will be able to drive off into the sunset in a new Audi A1 1.4 TFSI. Visit www.touchawesomeness.com to enter.
