The Aurvana DJ headset breaks new ground for Creative branding.

The headset is the first to carry the branding of what is set to become Creative’s flagship listening device range. The headset’s commission is high-end professional and studio usage. Its acoustically-tuned drivers provide excellent sound quality for music and vocals alike. We were a little disappointed by its underperformance on the base side but it boasts impeccable treble clarity and stereo separation.

The headset itself is stylish and ergonomic. Its brushed metal earcups and leatherette earpads make for a high quality finish and great noise isolation. The earpads are however circular- rather than circumaural which would make it a little more comfortable on the ears. The earcups rotate on both the vertical and the horizontal planes and the headband’s length is adjustable. The earcups can swivel 180-degrees on the vertical which is great for DJs. In terms of connectivity the headset comes standard with a 3.5mm gold-plated miniplug with the option of a 6.3mm stereo adaptor. It has a 1.4m coiled cable which can extend up to 3m- great for mobility.

We recommend the headset for its sound isolation and quality finish- but would like to see a little work done on its sonic range and earpad shape.

PROS
Sound isolation and build quality is excellent.
CONS
Sonic range and earpad shape need some work.
