Verbatim’s portable eSATA & USB 2.0 combo hard drive offers 500 GB of storage and two connectivity options. You can connect your USB cable to transmit info to the drive at a maximum transfer rate of 480 MB/s, or if you have an eSATA connection you can hook up the powered eSATA cable to transfer or backup your data at a maximum transfer speed of 3 Gbps (more than six times faster than USB 2.0).

Just like the Verbatim InSight 500 GB portable hard drive, this drive comes with Nero BackItUp 4 Essentials. With Nero you can back-up and restore all your important data for that always unforeseen circumstance when your PC crashes. Nero is easy to install and configure plus you can also use it to automatically sync folders every time you connect the device to your PC. The drive is not as stylishly designed as the InSight though, but it’s just as compact, measuring 130 x 80 x 17 mm and weighing a  very manageable 205 g. A 24 month guarantee is included.
