Simply Red has a song called “Money’s Too Tight to Mention”. When Mick Hucknall wrote this he probably didn’t envision it to become the anthem for computer users the world over, but when money really is too tight to mention, people tend to prioritise, and when buying hardware, you might just be tempted to skip buying a proper ADSL router and firewall.

Don’t do this. The Vigor 2700Ge will do what you want it to do for your home or small office and it will do it well.

Although we’re not at ADSL2 or ADSL 2+, it is nice to know that when we get there, the Vigor will be able to handle the new blistering speeds we’ll (hopefully) be getting. Being a proper router, the Vigor allows you to set up your home or office network wirelessly and it prevents the hackers and spammers and phishers from getting at your PCs, with DrayTek’s firewall software. PROS
The device is well priced and offers a good set of features including ADSL2+ compliance.
CONS
Data transfer speeds are average.
