The End of the Internet
By Andrew Gould 27 November 2008 | Categories: web time wastersSpeculation has been rife over the last 10 years as to what would happen if you Googled Google. Some say that such a search could potentially cause the entire destruction of the web and Internet at one fell swoop. We took it upon ourselves to discover the truth.
If you Google Google you get a bunch of Google related search results, obviously. So where or what is the end of the Internet? Well you can find “The End of the Internet” at http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm. It’s a static webpage displaying nothing but some text which basically informs you that you have arrived at “The End of the Internet” and that you should immediately turn off your PC and do something more productive. What makes it “The End of the Internet” is the fact that there are no out-going links on the page, links being the life-blood of the Internet.
