With two of the top Avengers coming to blows, Civil War is a great addition to the Marvel universe. The truly tough choice is picking a side to back.
PROS
Good mix of live and CGI action; Storyline is strong in its character focus; New additions to Marvel universe make good first impression
CONS
Slow to start; Not enough real conflict; Lacking elements from eponymous comic book
VERDICT
It's fair to say that Captain America: Civil War has a fair amount of scepticism to overcome, especially in the wake of a tepid Age of Ultron. Would the Russo brothers be able to recapture the balance of The Winter Soldier while adding new characters to the Marvel cinematic universe and creating a significant rift between Earth's mightiest heroes? The short answer is yes.
