It appears that Facebook's Instant Articles feature is going down a treat with users. So much so that reports suggest that LinkedIn is working on its own version of the feature for its site. These reports come from BuzzFeed News, which has a number of reliable sources "close to the matter". The publication says LinkedIn has been talking with various publishers and news outlets about the idea of creation their own Instant Articles rival.

As Engadget notes, the desire to create a feature that mimics that of Facebook's Instant Articles make perfect sense for LinkedIn. Instant Articles allows users to read stories from their favourite news outlets without ever having to actually leave the Facebook app. As such, having a LinkedIn service that does the same thing would certainly ensure more users stay on the LinkedIn platform for longer periods of time.

While LinkedIn did not provide comment to confirm these reports, they did supply the following statement to BuzzFeed News. "Publishers remain a very important part of our content ecosystem and we are in regular conversations with them about new ways to work together. Our goal is to ensure we get the right content in front of the right member at the right time to deliver the best member experience possible."
