Apple iPad Air 3 to debut in March according to reports
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 28 January 2016 | Categories: newsIt has been a while since we've a new iPad Air from Apple, most likely as the Cupertino-based company was fine tuning the iPad Pro. As such, rumours have begun to swirl that Apple will be debuting a new iteration in March this year. According to 9to5Mac, which is normally spot on with such things, Apple is planning a yet-to-be confirmed March event where a new iPad Air and updated Apple Watch models are set to debut.
While the latter seems quite likely, an iPad Air 3 is more intriguing to us at this stage, as the company debuted the current Air 2 back in October of 2014. While that seems a decent amount of time for some when it comes to refreshes, Apple's tact of late is between 12 and 18 months to rollout new iterations. As such, by our calculations, we're due a iPar Air 3.
While no details are confirmed for the lightweight and thin tablet, it will most likely feature Apple's latest A9 chipset, as well as improvements to the onboard camera and Force Touch functionality, as we saw with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
