Acer debuts new Predator Z35P curved monitor
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 24 May 2017 | Categories: newsAcer's Predator range is on the up in our books. The gaming-focused division of the Taiwanese manufacturer has been unveiling a swathe of high powered and insanely designed notebooks and rigs, also completing it with a range of devices. Today, the latter has gotten some attention, with Acer debuting the new Predator Z35P curved monitor.
If the name sounds kinda familiar, that's because the Z35 P is based off the Predator range's first curved monitor - the Z35. What makes this option different is the introduction of a higher resolution, taking things to 3440x1440. While that is certainly an impressive mark, it does fall short of 4K, which is one element we were truly craving on the Z35.
As for the rest of this updated curved monitor, a 35" screen size is on offer, along with a 21:0 aspect ratio and four millisecond response time, according to Acer. It's also backlit via LED and has a 100 Hz standard refresh rate with 300 nit brightness too. Added to this is Nvidia G-Sync technology to ensure things run smoothly for graphic intensive games, as well as onboard speakers, HDMI, USB and DisplayPort connections.
Currently on sale via the Acer Predator US site for $1100, we'll have to wait and hear from Acer South Africa to know when local gamers can get their hands on it.
