We, like many others, were intrigued by the prospect of a Apocalypse Now game, but it appears people are a little unwilling to fund the project at this stage. Erebus LLC, which launched a Kickstarter page for the game have nine days left to raise the necessary $900 000 of funding, which currently sits well off the mark at $172 909. As such, the developers have decided to adopt a different tact, launching a website earlier this week to raise funding instead.

Along with the new website launch, Erebus LLC has also set a longer timeline and bigger funding goal - raising the stakes by a cool five bar at $5.9 million, over 460 days. If successful, the company wishes to have the game ready for release by 2020. The reason for the change in funding goals, according to Erebus, is because the Kickstarter one was part of an initial phase to get the project up and running. The new $5.9 million goal would take care of the entire creation of the game, start to finish.

Whether or not this game ever reaches its goal, remains to be seen.
