With Apple acquiring Beats back in May last year, the future of their Beats Music app was up in the air. Then, when Apple Music came on the scene a few short months later, the writing was certainly on the wall for Beats Music. Confirming that the service will be cancelled after 30 November 2015, Beats Music has prompted its users to make the switch over to Apple Music, where they can set up their preferences and picks.

While this spells the end for Beats Music, it appears as if many of the services it provided will simply be ported over to the Apple Music platform. In a blog post about the cancellation, customer support manager Dale Bagwell writes, "all the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more amazing experiences. Plus, on Apple Music, you’ll get even better recommendations based on music you already listen to and love."

Ah Beats Music. We hardly knew you.
