CD Projekt Red knows how to make a great game, just play any one of the titles from The Witcher series. Now the developer's are turning their attention to a wholly different type of RPG with Cyberpunk 2077, which received its first official trailer during Microsoft's E3 Xbox Briefing recently.

Very little is known about the game at this stage, other than the year in which it is set. If we had to venture a guess based off the trailer below, it seems to look like what a GTA game set in the distant future would be like. As such, that may not be a bad thing at all. What we do know is that gamers will be taking on the role of hired gun V, as he tries to make his way up the crime ladder of the seedy techno metropolis of Night City.

Whether this protagonist proves as iconic as Geralt from The Witcher, remains to be seen.
