Canon Series - Andrew Aveley's Top Tip
By Staff Writer 12 August 2015 | Categories: sponsored contentAs one of the top wildlife photographers in the country, we talked to Andrew Aveley to find out if he has a piece of photography advice to offer that is perhaps not commonly talked about. His recommendation can drastically reduce post-processing workflow problems.
Andrew Aveley: Many people rely on post-processing to get the effects they want, but I use the Picture Style settings in-camera to limit the time needed afterwards. By using Canon’s free Digital Photo Professional software it speeds up the use of this as you move forward into any other third party programs. With Canon’s algorithms the colour and tonal ranges are near perfect already and only minor tweaks are needed for output use. As it is mainly a RAW processor it does have creative limitations that can be addressed in third party programs.
