As an in-demand commercial photographer and producer of the recent Somer Son movie, it’s fair to say that Clinton Lubbe has logged a few shutter actuations in his day. So what is his favourite shot in his portfolio?

Clinton Lubbe: My favourite personal photo would be one of my son, but that’s too subjective. Career wise it’s impossible to choose but I like the warts and all approach of having a current favourite straight off camera, since the luxury of time that a portfolio affords can be misleading to your ego.

You are only as good as your last shoot, so this one is from a very recent editorial part of a cover shoot with actress Bertha le Roux. The location was great and although this was a simple editorial the location allowed me to shoot interesting shots. Location, location, location is not just the key to retail success.
