After hearing about the favourite lens in his bag, we asked wildlife pro photographer and guide, Brendon Jennings if he has recently acquired or tested a new piece of photographic equipment.

Brendon Jennings: I recently acquired a Canon EOS 7D Mark II and it is the perfect foil for my EOS 5D Mark III. The buttons are identical apart from an additional autofocus mode selection lever. This is a massive positive for fast paced wildlife photography. The viewfinder is superb, and being able to change frame rate, white balance and more without moving your eye from the viewfinder is fantastic.

The 7DII adds frame rate and amazing autofocus to my gear. The 1.6x crop factor means my favourite lens (300 f2.8) becomes an effective 480mm f2.8.  The ability to use the same batteries on both bodies and only have to travel with one charger is a bonus. Finally the low price is greatly appreciated. Been able to get the features it offers at the retail price has to make it the most value for money camera on the market!
