Yesterday we asked pro photographer Simon McDonnell about his favourite lens. Today we discuss some of the new gear he has recently acquired, with McDonnell sharing his thoughts on a particular new body.

Simon McDonnell: I recently started using a Canon EOS 7D Mark II in conjunction with my 5D Mark III. I’m really impressed with the frame-rate and speed of the auto-focus on the 7D, so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. I also recently acquired a Canon PowerShot G7 X (top pic) which goes everywhere with me. For a pocket camera, I’m literally floored with the quality of images it produces.
