Deadpool 2 now coming two weeks earlier, X-Men spin-offs later
By Staff Writer 12 January 2018 | Categories: newsDeadpool fans have one more thing to feel good about today, with The Hollywood Reporter bringing some good news. The follow-up, Deadpool 2 is moving two weeks earlier, now scheduled for release on 18 May, at least Stateside.
With its new release date, D2 will crucially have a one week head start on Solo: A Star Wars Story, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fox is also said to be debuting D2 slightly earlier to avoid an overlap with one of its other movies, the X-Men spin-off The New Mutants. This movie is now, unfortunately, getting released 10 months later on 22 Feb 2019.
Concerned fans of the other X-Men spinoff, Gambit will indeed be asking what is happing on that front. The bad news is that this mutant (played by Channing Tatum) will only be playing cards on 7 June 2019, about four months later than its original scheduled release date.
It seems like it's only Deadpool fans that will be truly happy about this development. For your viewing pleasure then we have posted the Deadpool 2 teaser trailer below, if you have not seen it yet.
