This September marks the one year anniversary of Destiny. To ring in the occasion, The Taken King serves as Bungie's second expansion for Destiny, with the largest cache of new weapons to date. At E3, Bungie detailed the storyline for The Taken King, as the Guardians face a new dark threat in the form of Oryx, an antagonist that also controls a vast evil army that presents a new challenge for gamers.

As such, Oryx has a hankering for the destruction of Earth, with the Guardians now charged with ensuring its protection. To that end, Bungie expects all gamers who've enjoyed the Destiny sagas to date, to do the same when The Taken King releases on 15 September.
