Along with the chance to tuck into the remastered version of DmC:Devil May Cry on the PS4, there is more Dante waiting in the wings, with Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition on the horizon.

Most recently, Capcom detailed what players can expect to find in the heavily enhanced version of the 2008 game, and there is actually quite a lot to look forward to.

Along with the enhanced visuals and 1080p support, there will be three new playable characters, including Vergil, whose shoes players will be able to slip into in any mission; Trish, who will use the Sparda sword, pistols and her hands to deal with foes in ‘inventive ways’.

Joining them, and playable for the first time is Lady, who specialises in long-range, firearm-based combat. This should really mix things up, considering that Devil May Cry is typically heavy on the hacking, slashing, bludgeoning and decapitating. More intriguing is that Lady should bring something a little different to traversal, as her weapon also boasts a grappling hook.

Additionally, the game will also boast a Legendary Dark Knight mode, and no, this isn’t a reference to Batman. Instead, it seems to be an extreme difficulty mode, throwing multitudes of enemies at the player at a time. What’s more, PC players are getting some love here too, as it will be slashing on that platform as well as the PS4 and Xbox One.
