EA Sports taps star power for latest FIFA 16 commercial
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 18 September 2015 | Categories: newsFor those keen on their sports games, the fact that FIFA 16 releases next week (24 September), should be something they are quite excited about. To mark the occasion, EA Sports have pulled a Nike-esque move and called upon all their star athletes in the latest commercial for the game.
The advert sees Argentina's Leo Messi and Sergio Aguero don CGI sensor suits and compete in a game of football one upmanship. Wearing their respective Adidas and Puma futsal boots, they show off their best tricks and goal scoring antics (no keeper in place though).
We're then taken from the CGI studio, to the virtual pitch of FIFA 16, as the digital versions of Messi and Aguero sport their Barcelona and Manchester City kits, battling one another. After that, all manner of footballing stars take centre stage, with the United States Women's National Team's Alex Morgan, Brazilian legend Pele and even Kobe Bryant in the mix.
