Emirates launches mobile travel app Emirates Skywards GO
By Ryan Noik 20 July 2018 | Categories: newsEmirates, it seems, has been very busy on the technological front. As well as introducing its 3D virtual experience for booking seats and viewing cabins on its aircraft, the airline has also launched an Emirates Skywards GO app for members.
The app, which is envisioned as being a mobile travel companion, enables users to access some 4 400 2-for-1 offers at some of the best restaurants and spas in over 20 cities, with special deals spanning restaurants, cafes, spas and wellness activities. This has been done in partnership with The Entertainer, leading provider of incentive offers from well-known dining, leisure, entertainment, beauty and hotel brands across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
It’s a smart move, since its long been understood that travel is made lighter on the wallet by availing yourself of good deals. The functionality does cost 6 700 Skywards Miles (Emirates own loyalty program) to unlock. However, the 2-for-1 offers are available in more than 20 cities that Emirates flies to including Dubai, London, Hong Kong and Johannesburg.
After unlocking the app, members have six months to start using the 2-for-1 vouchers, and after redeeming the first voucher, they will have 30 days to enjoy as many offers as desired.
The app itself is free and is currently available for iOS and Android devices.
