For those under the illusion the Stone Age was pretty much like a Flintstones episode, check out the latest trailer for Far Cry Primal. The game's 23 February release date is getting closer, and Ubisoft has now cranked up the action a few more notches. Primal is more about survival than anything else, as lead character Takkar needs to save his tribe from extinction at the hands of rival leader Ull.

Along with trying to tame Sabretooth Tigers as a beastmaster, there is also a pretty substantial language barrier to navigate. The characters in Primal are not simply using Pig Latin, but rather two entirely new languages created by the help of professors from the University of Kentucky.

As such, Primal looks as immersive a Far Cry game as we've seen to date, with plenty attention to detail given to every aspect of this Stone Age world. Hit play on the video below to see Takkar in action. We've also thrown in a behind the scenes video of the characters and languages of Far Cry Primal as well.
