Fifa 17 slated for 12 June full reveal and 29 September cross-platform release
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 7 June 2016 | Categories: news"Football has changed," according to EA and some handy narration by the Special One, Jose Mourinho. The game developers used the Portuguese manager's voice in their first reveal trailer for Fifa 17. Unfortunately, the reveal trailer does not reveal much at all, except for announcing that a full reveal is arriving on 12 June, most likely in the form of a trailer featuring actual gameplay footage.
It is, however, worth noting that the game is slated for a cross-platform release on 29 September. Added to this, is a new game engine developed by Frostbite. EA Sports says the newly created engine delivers an "authentic, true-to-life action, takes players to new football worlds, and introduces fans to characters full of depth and emotion." Then again, previous Fifa titles claimed to provide the same.
While a better gameplay experience wouldn't go amiss, we suspect gamers are more interested in the quality of Fifa Ultimate Team and detailed kits, something the franchise has long had over its PES rival. With the full reveal still a few days away, listen to the Special One below.
