To say that a couple of years ago there was rabid fan interest in Firefly being reborn would be an understatement. Finally though, it seems in a way, those wishes have been answered, as the show’s original cast are reuniting. No, not for another TV series nor for another movie, but rather for Firefly Online, the multiplayer game set in Joss Whedon’s Wild West meets outer space universe.

Perhaps one of the most memorable characters on the show was Nathan Fillion’s Captain Malcolm Reynolds. The latest news is that the actor will be voicing his character for the game, along with other original cast members, such as Jewel Staite (Kaylee Frye), Morena Baccarin (Inara Serra), Adam Baldwin (Jayne Cobb), and Summer Glau (River Tam), which should definitely help in resurrecting the spirit of the original.
